Walt Garvin
I'm Walt Garvin and I've been a resident of the Lehigh Valley for over 30 Years, 25 of those years in Northampton County. I reside in Bethlehem Township with my wife Julie and our son Kevan who attends West Chester University. I've been involved in Democratic poltics in Northampton County for over 15 years - As a campaign volunteer and Committeeman, as Area 3 Chair from 2003-2010, then elected as County Chair in July 2010. I served as Chairman of the Northampton County Elections Commission from 2004-2007, and as a Board Member for the Northampton County Board of Assistance.
I am passionate about public service and the Democratic values that help shape the policies that make our communities vibrant, productive, and great places to live, work, and raise our families.
I've spent over 25 years of my career as a Sales Professional with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Agere, and Avaya. I received an Associates Degree in Business Administration from LCCC and have years of Continuing Education at Muhlenberg College. I am actively involved with my neighborhood, my church community, and I serve as President of the Lehigh Valley Blues Network.
As Chairman of the Northampton County Democratic Committee I am committed to further organizing our Democratic Party, by growing our membership within every corner of our County, by recruiting qualified people and helping all of our Democratic Candidates to be successful in their campaigns, and their service to our communities.

Vice Chair Lorraine M. Pasquali
My experience with NCDC began with my election to a committee post in Hanover Township, Ward 2 in 2006. Since then, I have knocked on countless doors, made phone calls, distributed signs, and attended committee meetings and functions in support of our party and our candidates. Prior to that, I was a volunteer with the Kerry Presidential campaign in 2004 and a founding member of the Lehigh Valley Democratic Coalition in 2005.
The platform and principles that the Democratic Party represents are very near and dear to my heart: Healthcare is a basic human need and therefore should be affordable and available to all. Our planet is not a garbage dump, and we should be more responsible in our use of her natural resources. A thriving middle class is crucial to our economic stability.
Along with with my experience as a committee person I have been a field organizer, a campaign manger for the PA House Democratic Campaign Committee, and I am currently the PA-15 team leader for the DCCC and continue to serve as communications committee chair of the LVDC. I have been in the trenches, have worked with many candidates and have been a candidate myself.
Wether elected or appointed, our job as committee persons is simple and direct: Support the principles and platform of our party and get our candidates elected to public office. We, as a team, perform a very important job, a very important community service. Civic engagement is what makes Democracy work. Getting our voters to the polls, getting our candidates elected to local, State and National office means that our communities get the services they need and that our issues get the attention they deserve.
